In only 18 days to start the adventure of "South Africa", because on 1 September at 15:25 is my flight from Hamburg to Dubai via Johannesburg to Pietermaritzburg. There I will be picked up and taken to the site of God's Golden Acre. For those who do not know really what I intend there, actually, I will briefly introduce the project:
God's Golden Acre is an organization with the children (especially orphans) in a children's village houses and supports approximately 4,000 children of other projects.
abuse, rape or the loss of parents through violence and AIDS, the most common reasons why children of different age groups come to "God's Golden Acre". The region of the "Valley of a 1000 hills" is marked by the still significant remnants of apartheid, high unemployment (official rate: 50%) and suffers a particularly wide extent of the AIDS pandemic - at least one in three is infected! Families where the oldest sister (14-18 years) for their younger siblings and often still must take care of their own children, since the Parental violence or AIDS were killed, are not uncommon, but cruel reality.
in its surroundings Heather Reynolds in 1994 founded "God's Golden Acre (GGA), a project that is committed to supporting the people of the region to help sustainable. Today, the GGA is a "Khayelihle" developed (German beautiful new home) for about 70 children, on the other hand it is an "Outreach Project", be achieved by 4000-5000 more children in the surrounding valleys. GGA provides for these children in the Valleys a basic supply of food, promoting their education and has both a music academy and a football league founded. These projects protect their support and education about rape, crime, violence and AIDS and to help cope with horrible experiences of the past. (Source: http://www.gods-golden-acre.de/)
God's Golden Acre has no income, so they stick by volunteers and sponsors like me afloat. My tasks in the first few months will be household and child care, more accurate, but I find the spot.
there is currently just a little "financial crisis" there, as more sponsors are assigned and thus, naturally, less food, etc., can be designed for the children.
So if you also want to contribute something to the project, it would be very helpful if you would donate one month or something when you do not even know what to do with the money. Even small amounts help to give the children a smile.
Feel free to donate directly to me, so it allows me to be able to do valuable work in South Africa. Because with this money I intend to illuminate the altTag of children by little things a little, and the terrible past for a short time forget to leave. I also could provide me in "financial crises" with their own food, so I do not financially burden the project falls.
